In March we went to our local zoo, which is by far one of our favorite outings here in town. We struggle with weather and the wind, and heat, and pollen, but it doesn’t change how much we love seeing the animals, how much Oldest enjoys sharing some new tidbit he learned about any one of the dozens of animal species, how much Quietest enjoys seeing the beauty of the animals (whether in form, or feathers, or fur), and how much Littlest just soaks up family time and seeing animals up close. We especially love the reptile house and seeing absolutely deadly creatures with a simple pane of (thankfully nearly unbreakable) glass between us and them. I love taking pictures because the kids want to see it “again.”
