Littlest hit the six month anniversary of getting his trach today. It’s been an emotional day for momma, I’m realizing how closely I came to losing him. He’s such a bubbly, joyful kiddo, and loves all of us as much as we love him.
Medically, he’s pretty much the same as my last post. We’ve been in the hospital a few more times for random fevers/lethargy; but other than getting diagnosed with MRSA colonization in his trach, we haven’t been able to pinpoint anything. Right now, he’s working on sitting, strength and coordination in Physical Therapy, getting supplement feeds overnight, and I’m trying to introduce foods he can swallow/gum to promote swallow development.
We are loving the gorgeous weather here, Littlest will go sit outside while his older siblings play, and we’ll work on sensory development through touching various things outside. He loves feeling the grass, though the first time he touched it, he was really unsure about it!
